Texas District 15…
… provides high quality, family oriented, 4D (divisional) barrel races in North Central Texas. We are a local barrel racing club affiliated with the National Barrel Horse Association. NBHA Members compete at District, State, National and World Championship levels. Each state is divided into competition Districts where members compete for money and prizes at a local level.
Texas District 15 welcomes ALL barrel racers to our events, and our local members have an opportunity to run for beautiful year-end high point awards that include saddles, custom tack, and other great prizes! Click the Sponsors menu tab at the top of this page and see for yourself!
Since our District serves 8 north Texas counties: Collin, Cook, Denton, Fanin, Grayson, Hunt, Montague and Wise, we try to centralize our arena locations. Click the Races/Results menu tab for our schedule and race results.
Our competition year runs from January through December, and we host 16 – 18 local competitions each year. Each event includes exhibitions (practice runs), Novice Rider (non-competitive, 12-under, similar to lead-line class), Open 4D, Youth 4D (18-under) and Senior 3D (over 50) classes to ensure that all members of the family can compete!
Divisional barrel racing gives ALL competitors – from beginners to professionals, from youth to seniors – a chance to compete, learn and succeed in barrel racing. The Divisional format encourages riders to improve their skills and work toward the higher Divisions, while still having a chance to be competitive. More information about the Divisional format of barrel racing can be found by clicking the Points menu tab, then navigating down to “How the Divisional Format Works“.
